If I drive 300 miles on full tank then 300 miles / 30 mpg = 10 gallons. Gas is about 3 dollars so…$50 / $3 per gallon = 16.67 gallons. To calculate the money wasted: (16.67 gallons - 10 gallons) * $3 per gallon = $20. So I would waste 20 dollars 3.
