Running head: SCHOLARLY ACTIVITY 1 Scholarly Activity Columbia Southern University
SCHOLARY ACTIVITY 2 Research Methodology, Design, and Methods Because there are so many different approaches that can be utilized in assisting research efforts to understanding the current difficulties the organization has been faced with. I will explain the research methodology, determine the correct research design, research methods utilized and provide a rationale as to why they have been chosen. By using a systematic approach the organization will be able to eliminate any unforeseen issues providing the company favorable and factual information. When using multiple tactics this will help Sun Coast accomplish their ultimate goal of obtaining new information. I will explain how the data was collected in addition to the sampling design more than like used to test the hypotheses. With several methods of tactical research one will be able to identify the different techniques used by way of methodology, design and methods. Specifying the statistical procedures used to test each set of hypotheses from correlation, regression, t-test and ANOVA. Ultimately intertwining all tactics and techniques leading all research towards quantitative. Research Methodology The research methodology conducted is that of quantitative research for Sun Coast, this is based off my positivist worldview. Because of the research methodology is positivist the material required the worldview focuses on the hypotheses, analyzing data, reason, truth, validity. According to the information required to complete this project, numerical data, analytics are the key approaches to completing the research required. Qualitative research would not be reliable for the research at Sun Coast due to its bias and opinion based motives. Research Design The research design to be used here would be descriptive as it provides a highly structured evidence process intended to be used with statistical analysis. The reason for this is
SCHOLARY ACTIVITY 3 because it provides a quantifiable facts that can be used to explore statistical values and analyzation. This form of research is designed to provide the following answers as to who, what, when, where, why and how. As the researcher it’s believed to provide the most accurate and thorough breakdown without bias or opinions manipulating the data. Research Methods The research methods within this project provide a quantitative casual design method. a Students should describe the research methods used for this research study based on the research methodology, research design, and research questions, and provide a rationale as to why they were chosen. They might include a combination of experimentation, descriptive statistics, correlation, and causal-comparative methods. Data Collection Methods Students should specify how the data were most likely collected to test the hypotheses. Data collection methods include, but are not limited to, survey, observation, and records analysis. Sampling Design Students should briefly describe the type of sampling design that was most likely used for the data that were collected. Choices include, but are not limited to, random sample, convenience sample, etc. Explain your rationale for your sampling design selection(s). Data Analysis Procedures Students should specify the statistical procedures used to test each set of hypotheses from among correlation, regression, t test, and ANOVA. They should explain why each procedure was the most appropriate choice. Example:

SCHOLARY ACTIVITY 4 Correlation is the preferred procedure to use to test the RQ1 hypotheses since the interest is whether a relationship exists between an independent variable (IV) and dependent variable (DV). Correlation will indicate if there is a relationship between height (IV) and weight (DV), the strength of the relationship, and the direction of the relationship.
