ETHICAL DILEMMA No, I would not take one of the light bulbs from my competitor. As a way to still get a chance to get the “bonus”, I could ask the manufacturer questions about their lat- est products and the benefit. But, I do think that the fact that the company would imply a bonus for stealing makes me rethink the company’s attitude. It is not ethi- cal. WSJ RESPONSES 1) The addition of Whole Foods allows for customers to use Amazon Prime to de- liver groceries, making it more convenient to purchase. Also, Amazon allows Whole Foods’ high quality, natural and organic food to be more affordable. 2) Economic environment: The economic factors are the changes in income are im- proving. But there is still a high demand for goods, causing inflation. Technical environment: by pairing with Amazon, this allows Whole Foods to be more accessible through Prime Now online purchasing and getting groceries delivered or or picked up. Legal environment: Whole Foods must address legal factors through agricultural regulations and monitoring and labor laws. Social environment: Whole Foods has a certain “health” look to them, influencing their demographic to become more organic and natural CASE QUESTIONS 1) No. The company has not adopted the marketing concept. Natures' Own does not engage itself in the use of marketing data for such purposes. The company is un- able to identify the needs of their consumers. With the marketing concept being aimed at pleasing buyers, Nature's own has failed greatly in this area as it does not offer value to customers through application of the "right" principle. 2) I think the main part of the environment that appears to be most challenging for the company is competition. Nature's Own has failed to prove itself worthier than its competitors on the market. For the company to survive this, it must learn how to fo- cus on the need for customers and find a way of distinguishing itself from the offer- ings of their rivals. 3) There are several strengths of Nature's Own branding strategies, one being their strategies have been able to ensure employee engagement. Another, there is im- proved customer loyalty for products due to their branding. The ad promotes these batteries that keep up with today’s technologies and will never be needed to tossed making an advance in technological environments. They utilize a smartphone to use this app and includes a specific market, technological equipment and products.
