Group Contract Instructions : Your group is to complete this Group Contract for your work in the Marketing Game Case Simulation. Once the group agrees on the contract, each member must initial, sign, and date it, and then the group turn it in in by the due date. Keep a copy to refer to throughout the project. Each member must agree to the same contract: 1. For each member of the team: what talents and expertise do they have? What new skills are they hoping to develop? Hayden Wilson: Analyzing numbers and finding issues that companies could fix for better production. I am hoping to develop the ability to effectively market and sell to anyone. Jess Zeleke: I currently have good time management skills and communication skills. I am hoping to develop my collaborative and team building skills through this course. Meg Vance: I have good communication skills and leadership skills. I am hoping to broaden my knowledge of marketing throughout this semester to help me with my future career goals. 2. How will the team communicate throughout the week? Group Me a. Team members will check this form of communication for group messages and reply within _ ___15_____ hours on the weekend and ___6______hours during the work week. 3. Will the team have a group leader or any other sort of structure? We do not have a group leader because we do not want to put one person above the other. However, we will have a designated person to turn in the assignments. 4. How will decisions be made (majority rules, consensus, or some other method)? Communication among each other and coming up with the best decision for the group 5. What is our working and editing process for assignments? Must all group members approve and edit documents? Will we work in Google Docs or collaborate within Canvas? We will all contribute to the work and communicate amongst each other. All group members will approve and edit the documents. We will work with Google Docs or Microsoft Word for the case studies. 6. How will the team manage files and data? Communication and talking through GroupME.

7. How will we turn in Case Reports and post our Best Idea to the Discussion Board? Who will be in charge of this? What SYSTEM will we have in place to make sure everything is understood, completed, and submitted? Hayden will be in charge of submitting the case studies and turning those into canvas. Jess will be in charge of relaying the group’s Best Idea to the discussion board. A system we decided to implement is checking in with each other on assignment due dates to ensure our work gets submitted. 11. How will we handle a group member not meeting expectations? First, try to get in touch with them and communicate. If the problem persists, then we will email the professor We each in this group agree to the following items: A. I agree to the above-mentioned methods of communication. I will respond in the time frame outlined. B. Under any and all circumstances, I will get what work I am allotted to do, done and turned in on time. C. If I am sick and unable to participate in a group meeting, I will call or contact my group members to make other arrangements to get my share of the work turned in on time. D. Should an emergency arise that prevents me from attending a group meeting, I will notify my group members immediately. E. I will do my share of the group work. F. I will do everything in my capabilities to help my fellow group members understand each and every concept and problem. G. If I do not understand a concept or solution, I will not hesitate to ask my fellow group members for help. H. I will communicate with my fellow group members about any concerns I have about our group work as soon as those concerns arise. I. I will be an active member of this group in all aspects. I will learn the lecture concepts by watching the videos and reading notes before class in order to be able to intelligently discuss and apply class concepts. J. I understand that in The Marketing Game I am responsible for: · Knowing the rules · Reading the Case Instructions · Plotting my path to success · Setting up systems · Being a part of my team · Keeping track of my score · Making the game overseers aware of any issues in a timely manner I certify that I have thoroughly read this contract and that I will abide by it. I understand that not meeting these criteria could result in me being removed from my team.

I am signing this contract at my own free will because I agree with it, and I am willing to adhere to each clause. I understand that breach of contract will result in my teammates reporting me for probation, and then if further breach of contract continues, me being removed from my team. This contract is subject to be amended pending a unanimous vote within the group.
