Using the new technologies and new forms of media to market, advertise and sell properties has presented real estate professionals with various tools to assist their business in marketing, selling, tracking and managing clients and the possibility or likelihood of some future event to remain competitive in the industry.
Although, there are a number of options available to realtors through technology to help in marketing, it also comes with many potential drawbacks as well. Technology is evolving at a rapid rate and companies depend heavily on computer systems which can break down and lead to a
loss in productivity. Furthermore, some software needs to be upgraded in a regular basis and it can result in an extra expense for the company. Also, some custumers may not be computer literate and prefer a physical contact and the good old flyer advertisement.
