The financial department will be participating with the marketing director to share ideas on how to attract more patients. In today’s society advertising for healthcare services is just as important as advertising for a restaurant or a fitness company. The ideas that the team will share can be applied through social media, television, telemarketing, and making direct contact with customers. One marketing approach this team will work on is by creating a social media platform. Creating a social media account such as Instagram or Facebook will attract new customers and even keep our loyal customers engaged. The team needs to understand what people are motivated by and what their interests are, that way the team will be able to address any concerning issues. Creating a social media platform will be a great way to communicate and display the services that the hospital offers. There are a variety of ways the team can create a healthcare social media marketing plan: Sharing accurate information that is backed by statistics or facts Engaging and educating patients (accurate information) Keep the public informed about new treatments ( 6 Healthcare Social Media Marketing Strategies For Your Center 2023) Next, the team needs to explain why these specific marketing tips were selected when it comes to explaining the reasons behind healthcare marketing. “What is healthcare marketing? Healthcare marketing is a planned-out process that will help attract customers, help customers make the right decisions with their healthcare journey, and keep them up-to-date and engaged with the health system” (Raymond, The 5 P's of Healthcare Marketing & The Client 2023). Now that the healthcare marketing strategy has been explained it is time to go over the five P’s; product, people, price, and promotion. "When it comes to the product the team must think about the type of products or services that are being sold to the patients and how they will benefit from them. Next, it is time to think about our target audience; it is crucial to come up with an ideal client base so that the customers will be happy and healthy. The third idea is all about location, in other words, this will be getting patients attracted to the health website or social media page. The fourth part of the marketing strategy is the price, the team should be able to lay out a well-defined plan for patients and ensure that they will be able to afford a wellness plan that is right for them. Last but not least, how will this social media page be promoted, this will require the team to focus on the audience population, decide on pricing, and maintain a client base that will keep them coming back" (Raymond, The 5 P's of Healthcare Marketing & The Client 2023). In conclusion, how should the hospital make their commitment to their patients while adding value- based programs, accountable care organizations, and bundled payments? It is crucial to keep the patient in mind and to let them know that they have a healthcare team who cares about them and it is necessary to provide products so that patients have a smooth and pleasant experience. Although these changes may seem challenging, having a value-based program focuses on the quality of care and not on the quantity of care. Lastly, the reason why adding accountable care organizations is crucial is that there will be several healthcare providers overseeing patients and ensuring that the patient comes first. Along with all the plans that have been laid out the team must keep in mind how bundled payments will be a great source for the healthcare staff to use because it is flexible and effective when it comes to documenting the care that a customer has received.
