How would the planning of a promotional program differ for a global brand vs. a regional or local brand? Provide an example. When planning a promotional program the process is vastly different for global and local brands. When it comes to a global scale the team has to consider all of the factors and segments that they will be reaching out to. Considering, demographics, cultural differences, and economic positions. Many of these factors are considered as they play a pivotal role in the reach a promotion has. Many of these global promotional programs are closely connected to various ways of life and how people will follow through after viewing the promotion. An example of global promotion is Nike and how their videos and promotional strategies mainly focus on a vast spread of viewers. In regards to local branding being able to closely connect with the people is the many strategies as it helps spread the word about the service or product. An example of this can be a small car wash back in my home town many locals and familiar faces show up because of the great quality and how the owner is able to create relationships and recurring customers.
