SWOT Analysis,” 2020, para.). Missio n We strive to offer our customers the lowest possible prices, the best available selection, and the utmost convenience. Vision Amazon’s vision is to be earth’s most customer centric company; to build a place where people can come to find and discover anything they might want to buy online. Amazon.com, Inc. strives to uphold the utmost convenience to their customers. One way they do this is with initiative to provide quick and reliably shipping on their products. U.S. and global shipping rates and times are posted on their website amazon.com. Even when purchases are overseas orders Amazon.com has affordable rates and delivery times to make sure the customer gets the product. Another initiative Amazon.com is currently working on is to provide the best available selection. On Amazon.com the selection of products is almost limitless. By partnering with many companies, big and small, Amazon can provide a wide variety of products and services in a one stop shop website. As Amazon.com seeks to improve its business and grow to meet the goals to the company’s mission and vision statement. Plans of operation at each level of management need to take place in order to keep Amazon.com moving forward and expanding.

The domestic environment Amazon operates in is a highly competitive market. “The company’s major competitors include online offline, and multichannel retailers, publishers, vendors, distributors, manufacturers, and producers such as eBay, Best Buy, Dollar Tree, Wal-Mart, Sears, and Target” (et al. “Amazon.com, Inc. SWOT Analysis,” 2020). Amazon’s competitors have great brand recognition, strong customer base, and great resources. These competitors can gain better terms from suppliers, adopt a more aggressive pricing outlook, and lock in potential customers with restrictive terms. This could potentially affect the revenue growth of Amazon if the company does not continue to compete in the U.S. as well as seek more of a hold on the global market. Amazon.com, Inc will need to implement new strategies into their international market in order to continue to grow globally. Amazon.com, Inc will need to add more distribution centers in the internal markets they currently operate in. By adding more ways to ship and process products, Amazon will be able to deliver products in a timely manner around the globe. Amazon will also need to research the political and cultural factors of new countries. Once launched in new countries any changes in those factors could affect the company’s business operations.
