What elements of effective classroom behavior management are most important to you and why?
A couple of important factors are procedures and consistency.

a) Your values and beliefs will shape your classrooms personality.
b) Cultural gaps will exist when you have a teacher and a student with different upbringings
and ways of life. The students gap will be the confusion of not understanding the norm of a teachers culture. c) As an educator, my response to a gap shouldn’t be frustration or dismiss the student for not understanding but trying to help and inform. ACTIVITY:

assessment. Discuss your strengths and greatest needs for
additional practice.
My strengths are Reflective Thinking about the Children and Their “Group Membership”, Efforts
made to Develop Authentic Relationship, and Effective Communication. I do agree with this as it is important to me to connect to my students and the people around me. The areas of struggle
are “Connection to Curriculum” which makes sense, even though I understand those cultural differences. It is and will be a struggle to connect
this to student learning. Does not mean I will not
try.

Which key principle is your strongest suit, and which 2 principles need the most development?
Strongest skill would be Focusing on the positive
and I would consider areas to work on more would be understanding student diversity for high quality instruction. I do not believe these two are separate in this particular type of information. Creating Positive Climate (strongest suit)

Which practice is/would be your
strongest suit, and which practice needs the most development?
Two practices that I am exceptional at are building and maintaining authentic relationships
with students and families and upholding high expectations for all students. The one area I would love to improve in would be engage in culturally responsive and sustaining practices.

Which of the 4 Returning to School strategies are most important to you and why?
Communicate, Connect, and Check-In is the most important. Students, more than ever, need
a positive environment to want to succeed in the classroom. If those relationships are established and students know the goal at the end of the line is tailor made for them and not just another box to be checked. They will be more inclined to work harder to meet to those
