ORG/716: Organizational Theory And Design Wk 1 Discussion 2 - Organizational Development My biggest concern or thought on organizational development comes from the lens of the lower lever employees. The organization that I work with is very centralized and I feel like the individuals or lower- level employees get “lost in the sauce”. I understand that the terms centralization and decentralization refer to how much influence upper-level leaders have over an organization. Of course, all leaders have power over their organizations. But decentralized management structures tend to have more agile decision making happening at all levels. Employees are empowered to perform their roles and make decisions as they see fit. But where I work, I see new employees come in with a freshness or excitement…which fades pretty quick when they try for something different or when personal stuff happens and they get ran over by the big organizational vision. So I guess my question would be about being able to manage both the overall organization without the employees feeling voiceless or insignificant?
