Describe how you would consider the following legal and ethical obligations when reviewing and improving your practice: Codes of practice - outlines precise rules for each volunteer's and employee's conduct within the service. In order to improve and review the service delivery, the following can be considered under code of practice: - Determining where work practices fall short of expectations by comparing them to the standards set forth in the code of conduct and can act as a guide to enhance personal practice. - By establishing a culture that prioritizes and supports moral behavior and judgment when they are applied throughout a whole organization. - Refer to a code of ethics, establish the ethical principles relevant to the situation and consider the potential harm the situation may cause if not resolved. Codes of practice are a set of rules that specify how a professional should conduct themselves while doing their job duties. They are there to ensure that everyone is treated properly and with respect, as well as to protect the professional and the people they work with. To ensure that I am acting in a professional and ethical manner, I must take codes of practice into consideration when evaluating and improving my own work performance. Duty of care requirements The legal responsibility that professionals have to protect the individuals they deal with and not put them in danger is known as "duty of care." This implies that I must be conscious of the hazards associated with my work and take precautions to reduce them. I also need to be aware of the warning signs of abuse and neglect so that I can act quickly if I think someone is in danger . Laws governing the duty of care can be used to assess and establish procedures as a fundamental standard that must be followed. It might serve as a starting point for assessing present working procedures. An individual or organization might find areas for improvement by contrasting duty of care legislation with actual practice. It can also be used to set guidelines and practices to foster a culture where health is valued highly. Rights and responsibilities of workers and employers I must make sure that I am upholding the rights of the individuals I work with and not infringing on their obligations, thus I must take this into account when I analyze and
improve my own work performance. In order to ensure that I am performing my obligations in my job, I must also be aware of my own rights and responsibilities. Respecting employees' legal and ethical rights helps to guarantee that they are treated fairly, are aware of their responsibilities, and perform their tasks efficiently. Employer rights may serve as a starting point for evaluating whether employees fulfill their commitments to their employers. A standard for evaluating present behavior and identifying work areas that fall short of legal and ethical obligations for the individual or the business can be established using clearly defined worker and employer responsibilities. Employers' behaviors can be improved in areas where clearly stated rights exist, resulting in more productive labor. Work role boundaries, responsibilities and limitations. Because they outline my responsibilities and define my function within the organization, work role boundaries are crucial to take into account while evaluating and enhancing my own performance. I must make sure I understand my job description and am not acting beyond of my authority. Work role limits are essential to consider while assessing and increasing my own performance because they set forth my obligations and define my job within the organization. I must confirm that I am functioning within the bounds of my authority and that I am aware of my job description. 2. Choose two models and processes of professional reflection and explain its importance and benefits. People gain from models of reflection by learning about their own thought and learning processes. Reflective thinking enables people to connect their newly acquired knowledge to what they already know. There are many different models of reflection; individuals must choose the one that best fits their work and will promote their learning. Individuals are guided through this process by models of reflection, each of which offers distinct methods for confronting these issues. One model can occasionally be mixed with others to produce a unique structure. When this is finished, a single model will serve as the base, with questions and factors from other frameworks layered on top. 1. Gibb's Reflective Cycle : Graham Gibbs created the Gibbs Reflective Cycle in 1988 to provide framework for learning from events. Although Gibbs initially recommended using it in repetitive situations, the stages and principles also hold true for one-time events. - It has six stages:
