Leadership style According to the leadership assessment reports attached to the files, my leadership style consists of coaching people instead of dictating them. So, the personal leadership style I aspire and strive to follow as an operational manager for King Edward VII college can be termed as transformational leadership. This typically implies that if a group of people working in my leadership start with a specific skill set, I will keep trying to use my knowledge and experience to help them sharpen those skills and acquire new, auxiliary skills. Innovation Strategies Following strategies are going to be used to make innovation an integral part of King Edward VII college: 1. Ensuring the availability of appropriate resources: Innovation and improvement of processes require resources. From physical resources and human resources to software and technology, different forms of innovation use different resources within an organization. In order to encourage and apply innovation in the organization, it is important for the management to ensure that all these resources are available in the organization at all times. This way, when the employees are prepared to take action towards the growth of the college, resources are not a barrier. 2. Nurturing the creative mind of the employees within the organization: Innovation within an organization is a continuous process of growth that requires a creative mindset of the stakeholders. encourage employees the application of innovation within the organization, the management can work on events, interventions, tasks, and rewards that nurture the creativity of the employees within the college. Systems to support innovation Following systems are to be established within the organization to reinforce the innovation and encourage the awareness of the processes within King Edward VII college: 1. Social media marketing: Social media marketing is a form of digital innovation that has been taken up by every business in every industry. Social media platforms are used by the majority of the population in every nation. This makes them the perfect platform for every company to access and influence their target audience. As soon as King Edward VII college starts to participate in social media marketing, the stakeholders will be able to understand the working systems of innovation. This, in turn, will further benefit the cause of progress within the organization. 2. Common chat for contributions: Another system that should be set up for the college is the common group chat where the employees can share their ideas on innovation with each other and gain feedback. This will not only provide the management with plenty of innovative ideas but also encourage the employees by acknowledging their contributions to organizational growth in a public establishment. Resources to support innovation processes Following resources are required to be made available within the organization to reinforce the innovation and encourage the awareness of the processes within King Edward VII college: 1. Capital: In order to apply any innovative measure, financial capital is a crucial resource that the college must be prepared to spend. 2. Technology: Different forms of innovation require different technological reinforcements. Based on what innovative element the college is working on, it is important to have the technology ready. 3. Hardware: Most of the digital or technological innovations within an organization requires proper forms of hardware like laptops, computers, tablets, projectors, etc. 4. Human resources: The foundational element for the designing and application of any innovation is the set of people who will be using the methods. Hence, the availability of human resources ensures the proper application and development of the innovative strategies within the organization.
