PART A: Preparation for placement
The reasoning behind applying to this organization is to accelerate the career in an industry
that
has immense opportunity to broaden the outlook and gain some professional experience. With
this, gaining experience alongside the work of an employee helps in being more employable. The
motive further is to look out to the progress achieved in this term and to determine in which
skills one needs to work the most to improve (
Lo, 2010)
. A draft of the Training Plan of what is expected to achieve on industrial Placement is as stated
below:
Problem-solving abilities, working as a team and collaborating with individuals,
interpersonal communicating skills, leadership, and pliability (
Asatiani, et al., 2020)
.
•
Adaptability, curiosity for knowing more about the organization, and having general
awareness about every stream, active listening skills, and critical observation issues and
matters related to the organization.
•
Managing peoples and clients efficiently, quantitative skills, specialization in marketing,
and proper management strategy in the supply chain
.
•
Skepticism, Critical thinking, Initiative, and Empathy (
Shakella, justice, and bruyns,
2015)

I, Yempalla Prashanth Reddy worked as an assistant manager (in accounting) in the organization
named Party Quiz ltd. I have been placed in this organization as Party Quiz Ltd. The main
objective of my duty is to manage daily operations, to make planning for assigned accounting
functions, to review the whole work, and to coordinate with all employees.
I had made efforts to solve any problem that occurred in the company. I had applied an
appropriate procedure to find out the root cause of the problem than I had solved it as soon as
possible was also aware of the decision procedure taken by me should not create any obstacle to
the growth of the company. I had not only found the cause of the problem also made review the
decision-making process taken by me (
Baird, 2015). I also developed my interpersonal skills and
communication skills while working in an organization. While preparing business reports I
obtained help from the media by following complex oral or written ideas published in different
mass media. I was also able to learn to make a strategy to select an appropriate leadership style which applies
to the different situation to monitor and motivate the performance of the staff. I got the
knowledge to find out the problems emerged incorporate field and took the necessary steps to
solve them by following ethical values. I also gave more importance to the creative process for
self as well as for others. I collected the necessary information to share the knowledge regarding
the creative work of others. I also learned how to create awareness about the quality of the
products among the staff. Every employee has to change his working style, strategy with the
change of time (
Chan, Wong, and Luo, 2020)
. So, I also learned how to change my policies,
strategies with the change of time to compete with other companies, and to get organizational
growth.
Methods
8
The organization, where I have worked there were several methods and strategies that were
adopted so that it can establish positive relations with its existing and potential customers. In
context to this, I got to know that trust is one of the key methods that are used by the
organization concerning its customers and suppliers. Trust is playing an important role to get the
satisfaction of the customer. Trust is regarded as an intention that reflects confidence in
something including uncertainty and vulnerability factors (Hidayat, et.al, 2016). In this, the
customer should get proper information regarding the quality, brand of the product. I also used
the following methods in developing the company and achieving the satisfaction of customers. Shopping convenience
I also found that shopping convenience was also adopted by the Party Quiz Ltd to hold the long –
term relations with its customers. It can be described as the customer’s perception of his feeling
and choice to shop. I felt that it is very easy to shop through the website. The use of the website
for shopping is very easy and it takes a short time for ordering a cake on the demand of
customers. The procedures are also not rigid and the 1
st
time Buyers can also buy any product
without the help of others (Chungs, Shin, 2010).
Informativeness
This system was reliable; I got family in which the customer is informed about every activity
with which he engages. It refers to consumer’s perception towards the payment, delivery, return
of the products. It also provides information regarding the quality of the product. So, I would say
it was also valuable for the company to gain long–term success in this highly competitive era. Communication
While working, I also got familiar with the communication method that is used by the limited
company for each stakeholder. It refers to the consumer evaluation regarding the complaints
9
against the product (Chung, and Shin, 2010). The website should possess a good FAQ system. I
also identified that the company has many alternatives to get communicate with the company and
its team for resolving the query or asking about any help for service offered. Security
I also found that the security policy was also adopted by the company in which the ethical
considerations were also followed in which the company is responsible for the loss of its
employees. It refers to the security of the customer which should be protected by the website
(
Davies, Dugdale, and Hayhow, 2020)
. The transactions made by customers should be safe. The
website will not misuse any personal information of customers. On the other hand, I also found
that any kind of information about internal employees and customers is not shared with any third
party from the external market. Describe the project with including issues/problems/solutions that were present either in its
design, planning, or construction
I was working as an Assistant Accounting Manager in the party quiz ltd selling bakery products
all over the world. Before joining this organization, I had 2 years of experience in accounts due
to which I was familiar with the things I went through during my working period. I was assigned
to monitor the daily operation, check every single financial as well as the basic accounting
activities going inside the organization, and report the regular follow up to the Accounting
Manager (
Edden, 2020). With that, I had to manage the company’s website, add new products to
the site, maintain the stock, and monitor the staff working under it. I had to prepare a
Monthly Management Report and Variance Analysis.
At first, I faced difficulties in knowing the internal environment of the organization and faced
difficulties during my working period like the communication barrier between the staff and me.

As limited number of staff was working due to the pandemic, I had to check out everything and
monitor the daily operations of people, and being a new member of the organization not
everyone was comfortable with me to work. I had to check every single financial activity and
report it to my head and I even had to update the company site and maintain the stock, which at
first made me restless to manage everything under a single head (
Habibi, et al., 2020). I had to
maintain company policies as well as to represent a positive image of my University, which put a
little stress while working. Despite the difficulties, I have completed my placement and learned many things that will help me to work in the future.
All of the troubles I faced addressed by the organization and my University addressed few,
during my placement. The training helped me to learn a lot more about the internal environment
of the organization. My head helped me to address to the staff and make them comfortable to
work under me. I got regular feedback on the report I submitted that helped me to rectify my
mistakes. The company provided me an equal opportunity to learn things practically and
developed my skills under The Equality Act 2010. (Baird,2015) Party Quiz ltd prioritized health
and safety of mine as similar to the permanent employees and provided me small breaks and
leave whenever I felt stressed out. The organization ensured all safety measures such as proper
sanitization and maintaining of social distance while working due to the COVID-19 outbreak
(Habibi et al, 2020) I had a very good experience while working with Party Quiz ltd.
Evaluation of the work
I am working in the company for 8 months and I have tried my best to prove myself as the best
by doing all the physical output that will help the company to rise high. Before I never had an
experience with a real business, so it was obvious that I was nervous when I started my
placement in Party quiz Ltd. I was very punctual and have fulfilled all the work that I was given
11
daily from my senior manager. If I evaluate the works that I have done during this placement that
would be as follows: -
● Working as an assistant accounting manager I managed all accounts, daily operations, and
every day I reviewed the word plan for assigned accounting functions. I have also done
additional works rather than my assigned work. Every day I checked the quality of the product
after the workers finished their work so that no damage items should be imported (Hidayat,
Saifullah, and Ishak, 2016). After working here I feel there is a lot to improve my proficiency. In
the beginning, the supervisor at my workplace gave me some time to go through the process of
how I should focus on major functions and tax returns. ● I got a chance to enhance my communication skills and also party quiz has helped me to learn
a lot of knowledge and skills by communicating with other workers. Every month there are a lot
of transactions that I had to manage as our company has so many branches and individuals. I
gained more professional knowledge which will help me to work further as a better candidate in
a company. At first, I was horrible speaking with my other team members but after 1 month it
was like an awesome experience working with those brilliant people and I have made new
friends here. ● One thing I must say that the problem-solving capacity in me has increased a lot as now I can
see myself solving complex problems and can make decisions wisely. The decision-making
techniques that I have learned from my supervisor and my other experienced teammate is quite
recommendable and it will always help me throughout life. During the 3
rd
month of my
placement, my supervisor had assigned me to work in the payroll department for 2 weeks
(
Shakella, justice, and bruyns, 2015)
. I provide clients with online pay slips as per their demand
and that was a great experience of my career. Last month was the best time for me to work in this
12
placement as I experienced how an accountancy firm works and what the services possible are,
we can provide to our clients. I was assigned for a task by my supervisor to interpret the
information and then carefully enter data and numbers into income statements.
Descriptive reflection about the application of placement for future career plans
Being in the profession of Tax and Accounting the post of Assistant Manager (in Accounting)
and I both complement each other with the belief that I so far have justified the post and job with
my workability and the knowledge I have gained from my previous jobs. By dealing with various
accounting functions and numerous assigned areas and responsibilities to prepare monthly
management reports, I have boosted up immense knowledge to make myself better at my
professional career so for my future goals. By assisting my senior Mr. Kaushik Sheth I have strengthened my knowledge and ability in tax
and accounting even more as a professional. As I have set my eyes on to become a CFO, these
experiences have built a strong confidence in me that I would not fail to acquire my dream job
one day. As an assistant manager, my primary job on a day-to-day basis is to support the finance
department, accountant, and management team by completing routine clerical and accounting
tasks (
Silver, et al., 2019)
. Also, I look after the department of preparing budgets; maintain
reports, and completing basic bookkeeping and accounting duties for the company. So, it visible
I have been looking after for a significant portion of my job in the company and which evidently
would help me out in achieving my goal.
As a Tax and Accounts Assistant in my previous job, I have faced no problems but challenges
that have helped me out to perform efficiently in my current placement. So, if we talk about one
of those challenges that though work pressure was high and I had to finish some clerical tasks so
that one important administrative job could have done, but due to some technical issues the final

copy of the management report was mistyped which already was being submitted to the higher
officials (
Tweedie, Yerrell, and Crozier, 2019)
. But somehow, I convinced the officials with
evidence that it solely was a technical problem (also the technical team agreed to the point I
pointed out) and I rectified the same in no time despite the immense workloads.
Again in the current placement, the work culture here has been the best thing I have come across
yet, but this place has taught me a lot about the outlook, life, and placements in the industrial
terms of view (
Wen, and Wang, 2020)
. Though I fail again and again in achieving my dream,
giving up should never be my thing. This institution has taught me not to be the best at your
work but Perfect. Part C: Appraisal Employers’ Appraisal Form Candidate details

Conclusion From the above-developed placement log, it can be concluded that industrial placement was a
learning step for me to get excel in my career with rapid growth. I have worked as an Assistant
Accounting Manager at Party Quiz ltd for 8 months without any failure; it was a value-adding
placement for me. During my tenure, I have faced many difficulties at the beginning but with the
organization support and with the guidance of my Senior I have overcome them and achieved my
target. I have gained many new skills such as interpersonal skills, communication skills, creative
skills, strategies to work effectively and essentially with that gained many practical experiences
by working in a real business. I have enhanced my problem-solving capacities and improved my
decision-making techniques. On the other hand, it can also be summarized that I have served all
the purpose and completed my task with full
dedication and punctuality. The Party Quiz ltd has
provided me the best work culture and taught me a lot about the outlook, life, and placements in
the industrial term of view. Therefore, I would suggest this organization to the interns as it
provides a platform to learn, improve, and utilize the learned skills which would help them in
their future.
