2. How do operational plans affect operational policies in terms of recruitment?
The company should ensure that they carefully follow the operational plans during the
recruitment of new employees so that the employees are able to support the company in
achieving the set objectives and goals that are in place. They should hire highly qualified
personnel for the roles so as to be able to develop their potential for the success of the
organization. 3. Why might organizations have a recruitment policy?
It is important for all organizations to have a recruitment policy in place to ensure that there is
consistency, transparency and a fair ground in the whole hiring process. This is important to
ensure the commitment of the organization towards providing equal opportunities for
employment to the candidates. The policy also ensures that the company writes a job description
that is suitable to the specific needs of a given role so as to enable the recruitment of the most
suitable candidate for the role based on merit. It also ensures credibility and builds the reputation
of the organization thus enabling candidates to entrust them and make an application.
4. Identify one aspect of the recruitment process that is done through the use of technology.
How could this be achieved without any technology, or, how was it achieved before
technology?

platforms such as the company websites and people are able to access the advertisements easily
from different places. In the past before the companies embraced the new technologies, job
advertisements were published on newspapers or put out on notices. The method is still being
used despite the fact that it is not very effective as few people are able to access the
advertisements as compared to the use of modern technology.
5. Suggest a way you could communicate information on policies and procedures to
relevant staff.
It is important for all the staff to be well informed on the policies and procedures of an
organization. The management should ensure they inform the relevant staff through organizing
regular staff meetings to inform them on the policies. The information on the policies can also be
sent to the staff through emails or they are given hard copies to read on their own and seek
clarification where there is need. The key policies and procedures can also be put on notices at
well designated places where the staff can always have acess to them and farmiliarize themselves
with them.
