Future Challenges Facing Organizations Students Name Institutional Affiliation
Organizational Challenges Organizations face many challenges in relation to management, personnel, products and their entire operations in general. Challenges in organizations cannot be avoided. However, having knowledge of these challenges play a significant role in preparation and finding of the right solutions on how to solve the challenges. As the current challenges are solved, more challenges seem to come up as time goes by. Future challenges in organizations are more likely to be attributed to changes in trends, technological advancement and changes in consumer preferences. Organizational management and operations may also present new challenges resulting from the new generation employees.
Employee Engagement One of the significant challenges that is bound to face organizations in future is attributed to the composition of the future employees (Gretzel et al. 2006). In the next 20 years the employees of most organization are more likely to comprise of the members of generation Z. This situation is more likely to present challenges in service delivery as most of the members of generation Z are characterized by their addiction to social media applications. This situations portrays a group more likely to be distracted hence resulting in poor service delivery.

Adapting to changes in trends Changes in trends of marketing and service provision are more likely to be experienced within the next 20 years. These changes require an organization to be flexible enough to be able to incorporate them (Mohammed, 2014). Organization that are may not be able to incorporate the changes in trends are more likely to be disadvantaged in as they may not be able to compete favorably among their competitors
Advancemen t in Technology Technological advancement present bigger and better opportunities for various organizations in terms of production of quality products and better provision of services. Due to ongoing research aimed add technological advancement, the next 20 years is bound to experience immense positive changes in technology (Offermann & Gowing, 2003). These changes will only be able to benefit the organizations that will be able to invest in the technological facilities. Organizations that will not be able to incorporate this developments in their operation are more likely to suffer economically as they will not be able to keep up with the competition.
Embracing Change Change is a difficult process for every organization as it involves both personnel and the organization The major challenge that the organizations face is in their ability to embrace the changes in organizational operations within the next 20 years. These include the changes in the operations in relation to the supply chain management and logistics (Kapoutsis & Thanos, 2018). The challenges will also extend to the employees as people are always more resistant towards change. This situation will present a major setback to the organizations in terms of operations and competitiveness .

Consumer Preferences The next 20 years is also set to experience several changes in terms of consumer preferences. This presents a challenge for organizations which may not be able to live up to the consumer expectations. Changes in consumer preferences are more likely attributed to changes in trends and advancement in technology (Hayley, 2005). This situation is more likely to draw the major differences between the success of various organizations.
Summary Organizations are set to experience several challenges in the next 20 years which can be attributed to the changes in trends, advancement in technology and changes in consumer preferences. Adapting to these changes may also pose a challenges due to inadequate preparation and the resistance nature of people towards change. Another significant factor that may result to these challenges could be attributed to the employee composition in the next 20 years which is more likely to consist of members of generation Z, who are highly distracted by technological trends.
