Conscious capitalism is based on the simple idea that when practiced consciously, businesses can elevate humanity. Their philosophy is rooted in higher purpose, stakeholder orientation, conscious leadership and conscious culture (Conscious Capitalism Inc, 2020). Those whole practice conscious culture look out for every single stake holder involved, that includes, employees, customers, stake holders, suppliers, local communities and the environment (Conscious Capitalism Inc, 2020). After doing some research and taking a look at Whole Foods core values, they hit every aspect of conscious capitalism. The core values at Whole Foods are, sell the highest quality of natural and organic foods, satisfy and delight customers, promote team member growth and happiness, practice win-win partnerships with our suppliers, create profits and prosperity, and care about the community and the environment (Our Core Values, 2020). Whole Foods strives to build a strong and healthy relationships with their employees, create a family like environment and they want their employees to grow and succeed and they celebrate their successes (Our Core Values, 2020). When you take good care of your employees, they will in return want to take good care of your company and its’ customers. Whole Foods states, “customers are the lifeblood of our business and our most important stakeholder. We strive to meet or exceed their expectations on every shopping experience.” By selling the highest quality of natural and organic foods, and providing excellent customer service, the customer really benefit, and it shows that they are important and cared for.
