Report
Comparison of TKI reports regarding Susan and Jane TKI report is all about providing valuable insight regarding the person’s way to deal with the conflict in personal as well as professional life. There are total of five conflict-handling modes based upon which the TKI report is prepared such as collaborating, competing, avoiding, compromising, and accommodating [ CITATION The217 \l 1033 ]. After comparing the TKI reports of Susan and Jane it came to know that both of them prefers different approach to handle the conflict in their life such as Jane believes more in handling conflict by collaborating with others. Jane here sounds like she is highly collaborative as well as assertive in nature which is why she prefers to work with others to find the best alternative solution to resolve the conflict within the organization. It makes her to feel confident enough, and by the guidance and support of others she used, and she also make sure that her efforts satisfy both the partners. On the other hand, if talk about the reports by Susan then those reports show how good she is in terms of compromising whereas Jane wasn’t. It states that in terms of cooperativeness, she is good, and this ability makes her stand out in terms of handling conflict within the organization. She doesn’t like to do everything in her favor or everything in the other party’s favor but instead she likes to come up with the solution or the conclusion that is preferred by both the parties and in short which consist of mutual benefits [ CITATION The217 \l 1033 ]. Jane and Susan both in Avoiding part scored less which is a good sign because conflict should never be ignored as this thing might create lots of trouble and can get huge from time which might make it even tougher to be resolved. Business Change Leader The leader researched for this study is “Jeff Bezos” who is the founder as well as chairman of the company named as “Amazon” [ CITATION For22 \l 1033 ]. The company was founded
in the year 1994, and Amazon company basically is currently an online retailer company which deals in various things. In the beginning company simply used to sell books, but now there are lots of thing in which company is dealing such as movies, music, electronics, books, toys, household goods, and much more. On the other hand, as per the TKI index of the Jeff Bezos it came to know that the two factors which are “Competing” (High) and “Avoiding” (Medium) are the two main category of the report in which the leader scored highest. According to the facts, this result is utmost true because many times, Jeff ignores the decisions or the people those who are operating at the higher level within the organization are also ignored by the leader at the time of making decisions [ CITATION Fin204 \l 1033 ]. In addition, as per the research the leader also sometimes gets frustrated when any employee is around him in the organization. I choose the above two categories because firstly, the actions by Jeff Bezos shows that he has adopted autocratic leadership style because his main phrase that he uses the most and teaches his employees to use the most is “Disagree and Commit” [ CITATION Nag17 \l 1033 ]. According to him, this is a gamble which helps him to be saved from lots of time and efforts. This thing simply proves that he likes to compete the other companies and to avoid conflicts in order to save time and efforts within the organization. Thus, these are some of the reasons from my reasons on the basis of which I decided the categories above. Self-Assessment Style Corresponding Statements: Total: Collaborating (questions 1, 5, 7): __8 _____ Competing: (questions 4, 9, 12): __9 _____ Avoiding: (questions 6, 10, 15): __4_____ Accommodating: (questions 3, 11, 14): __12_____
Compromising: (questions 2, 8, 13) __9_____ I took the test, and the above is my result in different category and as it is described that accommodating it the one in which I scored the highest, and on the other hand Avoiding is the one in which I scored the lowest. On the other hand, after going through the result I would like to say that I completely agree with the result because I think that I am accommodating because I like to help others especially my family and my friends. They are always a priority for me which is why I find myself always trying to fulfill the expectations of the others. On the other hand, I do not like to run away from conflict because I believes that if the conflict isn’t resolved now then it will definitely be going to come back later in the future. If I could change one conflict handling mode, then I would like to change collaboration and increase it to the max because I think that collaboration helps in bringing new ideas and makes it easier to resolve the issue. I will work upon being open to others and share the issues that I am facing in my professional life. The next thing which I will try to grasp as much as information from the others and ask for the additional guidance and help. Bibliography belludi, N. (2017, May 5).
