2 Essay 4 self-assessment responses Dyadic Relationship with Manager Lussier and Achua (2016) argue that the dyadic leadership theory describes an ever- evolving relationship between a leader and a follower that manifests as a mutually advantageous exchange during rule-making processes. My results on the Dyadic Relationship with Manager Self-assessment exam put me squarely in the in-group, with a score of (25). My response shows that I am accessible by my employer, have an excellent connection with him, and can encourage him to act. My supervisor and I work well together, and he appreciates my efforts. My supervisor and I have a great working relationship, which has led to promotions, evaluations, and bonuses. This number helps me measure my relationship with management. It is helped me learn about myself and become a better community member. Dialog within the in-group is often seen as more subtle and friendlier. I got along well with the manager when I worked at a coffee shop. I was regularly asked for input on better serving customers, and we had many enjoyable conversations during the workday. When interacting with out-groups, managers' manner is frequently more formal than when dealing with in-group members (Guillaume et al., 2017). The degree one feels linked to one's job or organization is an important differentiator. Managers interact more professionally with outsiders than with their staff. LMX Relationship with Manager Lussier and Achua define leader-member exchange (LMX) as the quality of a leader's interaction with a follower (2016). According to the LMX test, my relationship with my boss is excellent (25). Leaders motivate me to perform my best. Thus I am more productive. I would
3 want to hear more positive staff feedback. I am devoted to my bosses, focused on getting the job done, and like working on administrative jobs with others. The LMX theory is one way to investigate subordinate-supervisor interactions. Interaction with followers is key to a leader's success. LMX theory boosts consumer satisfaction, group esteem, and worker productivity. It offers techniques to improve communication between workers and management. Two types of followers differ in their relationship with the leader (Northouse, 2019). Effective leadership and collaboration result from an LMX that promotes employee initiative and citizenship. It promotes revolutionary leadership in the company. Effective Followers The effective follower test scored me 32/50. Because of this, I am an effective follower. I am an excellent subordinate because I am always willing to back up my leader when things aren't going as planned. I can complete tasks with little to no oversight, I am not afraid to voice my opinion, even if it contradicts my manager's, and I always keep my manager up to date on what's happening. By being close to my superiors in the workplace, I know I can achieve success and develop my leadership abilities as a follower. For instance, I might use problem-solving ideas in terms of choosing choices. My self-assurance as a leader has also increased. Since this is the case, I have become a better follower. Followership and Personality Surgency, confidence, and agreeableness are personal characteristics that influence my dyadic interaction, followership, and delegation style. Due to my surgency, I am usually quick and want to lead. Thus I am always ready to help the management. Confidence also allows me to undertake new tasks with little experience. Furthermore, I can assist others in difficult

4 situations by being cooperative and demonstrating outstanding leadership qualities. I believe I can be an excellent leader with my positive test results and positive attributes. For example, my agreeableness will enable me to prioritize my followers constantly. This will make them feel valued, improving their relationship with me as the leader. A healthy leader-follower connection is critical in boosting job outcomes, so it is worthwhile to embrace it. Conclusion According to the self-assessment tests, my Dyadic and LMX Relationships with the Manager are pretty excellent, but I need to improve to be even better. To do this, I will exhibit my passion and unique ideas in a meeting with my management. I will also regularly organize meetings with my boss that are adequately scheduled and have time limitations. To get the most out of these discussions, I'll discuss my short- and long-term objectives and ask many questions. Even though I am already an excellent follower, I plan to become a superb follower by being a reliable worker willing to take on more responsibilities, working well with others, thinking critically, and listening carefully to others.
