3. Lynn decided to offer the students who worked for her a bonus of $25 for ideas on how to improve the business, and they provided several good ideas. One idea that she initially rejected now appears to hold great promise. The student who proposed the idea has left, and is currently working for a competitor. Should Lynn send that student a cheque for the idea? Lynn is not obliged to pay her as she initially declined the offer, however, if she wants to pay it will have a positive impact on Lynn’s reputation. Also, she can make an agreement with the proposer to not share the idea with the competitor. 4. Lynn is thinking of making her operations sustainable. Name one or two ideas she might consider. Firstly, Lynn needs to meet the demand of her customers, if she is successful in making a good reputation, she can make her operations sustainable. Lynn needs to make sure the fertilizer she uses for the soil is of good quality and environmentally friendly to save the soil. Gaining customers’ confidence is a must.
