2 Executive Summary Remaining connected is a defining feature of the modern economy and an important trend in the 21st century. 5G is a significant network in driving the economy and will be fundamental in enhancing digital connectivity as people live in a more connected world. However, 5G opportunities will not be obtained automatically. One hindrance to getting the 5G technology is the complex planning and legal framework needed in upgrading mobile sites, where dealing with these challenges and ensuring collaboration is important in the smooth deployment of 5G. The purpose of this case study is to examine the impact of 5G on people's lives and the economy (PwC, 2020). In understanding the impacts of the 5G well, the 5G ecosystem is mapped to identify the stakeholders, actions needed in deployment, and main components. Findings The revolution of 5G is making inroads in developed countries such as the US. The Verizon coverage map has shown the availability of its 5G Ultra-Wideband network that is available in more than 70 cities. With the continued expansion of 5G, people are likely to feel its impact globally. 5G has been designed to provide high speed in connectivity, huge capacity, and reduce latency; thus, it is expected to enhance innovation in the future. The 5G innovations will open new business opportunities and improve public safety. Through fast and reliable speed, low latency, and huge bandwidth, 5G will enhance public officials in carrying their jobs efficiently. For example, the ability of 5G to support huge volumes of data and high-quality videos can help public officials understand their role better. Verizon is working on using 5G to decrease accidents in emergency vehicles with TomTom (Verizon, 2021). The project focus on intersections that makes emergency vehicles safe. As many countries’ rollout the 5G connectivity, more business

3 opportunities will be established, leading to new products and services in the market and enhancing the producer's productivity. With many businesses and organizations learning remote working skills, the transition of working remotely with other global offices becomes a less foreign concept, enhancing business success. Discussion Based on the impact that the 5G network will bring in enhancing public safety and creating business opportunities, the main functional drivers of the network will unlock many opportunities such as optimization of delivery of services, improved user experience, and enhanced decision making. According to PwC, the 5G network will improve the global economic value by $13.2 trillion by 2035 and generate 22.3 million employment opportunities in the global value chain (PwC, 2020). In understanding how 5G will realize the huge estimated economic value or output, PwC has worked with the World Economic Forum in proposing a bottom-up approach to the analysis of key industrial advancements and economic areas that are likely to be driven by the 5G. The main drivers of 5G technological applications include low latency communication, security, power efficiency, massive machine communications, and enhanced mobile broadband. Industrial advancement will be enhanced by 5G through fast and efficient inspections by analytical intelligence, workplaces improvements and workers safety, and enhancing the effectiveness of operations. Besides, 5G can manage carbon footprint and connect the digital divide. Conclusion The 5G network is developing very fast, and it has the potential to change the world for the better way. Besides, 5G has the ability to improve public safety and enhance operational effectiveness in organizations. The development of 5G is an important aspect of fostering innovations that will improve the world's future by unlocking potential in different fields such as education and health. Recommendations The 5G network is a dynamic technology that will require enterprises and service providers to have adequate knowledge of its abilities and use. Therefore, it is recommendable for users to study the network and explore all the security software to ensure the networks are safe and do not compromise the data integrity. Besides, working with innovators will help the network user understand any new product related to their business models and become competent in understanding all specific requirements such as security embedded in communications and collaboration (Riley, 2019). Finally, it is recommendable to the users to follow new cyber threats constantly before adopting the entire 5G network. Implementation In enabling the potential of 5G in enhancing business opportunities, industrial advancements, and creating economic value, the network can be implemented through a high, low, and mid-bandwidth. However, the most recommendable bandwidth for 5G is the high bandwidth designed to provide fast speed, huge capacity, and low latency to enhance future innovation. Implementing high-bandwidth will be significant in supporting the economy, job market and reducing the carbon footprint.
