Fantastic post! I agree that a change agent is an individual that facilitates and encourages
change in an organization. A change agent should advocate and support the change for an
organization to be successful. A good change agent must possess specific characteristics,
including accountability and responsibility, flexibility, effective communication, and listening
skills, empathy, patience, and a clear vision (Deszca et al., 2020). The change agents have
different roles and responsibilities in the management process. They take up the role of
consultants, communicators, advocators, trainers, and investigators (Gerwing, 2016). A change
agent might determine the success of an organization. Therefore, they must be determined,
persistent, and passionate about the change for a smooth transition. The changes face challenges
such as resistance, lack of effective communication by management, navigating politics, and
staying objective. They have to find ways to address the challenges, such as encouraging
effective communication, stating the visions of the change, and remaining objective.

Well-detailed post! I have similar views that a change agent must exhibit certain traits
and characteristics to implement change in an organization effectively. A successful change agent
should be an excellent communicator and listener, lead by example, be knowledgeable, be a good
negotiator, be pragmatic, patient, and empathetic, and know how to build strong interpersonal
relationships (Deszca et al., 2020). A change agent is considered a catalyst in the change process.
Therefore, they must undertake several roles, such as being a good and effective leader, formal
