Importance of Diversity and Inclusivity Today, the United States has become the world’s leading nation in matters of rights, liberties, diversity, and inclusion. Diversity and inclusivity can be defined as respecting, accepting, and appreciating people the way they are, irrespective of their backgrounds or characteristics ( Corrington, Hebl, Stewart, Madera, Ng & Williams, 2020). I will approach diversification in my family, church, school, or workplace environments with a free, open, and accommodative mindset. Diversity and inclusion have become the world’s leading anti-racism campaign because it sets the proper rules to protect everyone at their respective levels. Today, we have minority groups and other upcoming families that must be respected and covered with an open mind to promote diversity and inclusivity. Initially, I was very selective when dealing with people from different backgrounds. However, I have become open-minded and believe everyone has equal rights and opportunities. Therefore, I will not be selective when handling g people from different backgrounds or cultures. In summary, the power behind diversity and inclusion is developing a healthy mindset that accepts everyone and gives everyone equal opportunities.
