Modern business strives to develop products and related support services that appeal to specific cultures. To what degree is there a connection between the types of products and related support services offered and the management strategies employed? Explain. Are these connections the result of the cultural influence of the consumer base to which the products are marketed, or are they driven by the product offerings? Why? The modern business strives to develop products and related support services that appeal to specific cultures while gaining profit one has to see to it that factors affecting business are closely studied. One such factor is culture, so this factor also affects sustainability. In cultures where equality is valued, participative management and joint decision-making are likely to be viewed favorably. In cultures where power distance is acceptable, hierarchical authority is more likely to be accepted without question (Wren & Bedelan, 2020). For example, let us take a food restaurant chain in India. So, in India, various states have different taste preferences and preferences in terms of vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods. There are some places where there is a beef ban, and if I try selling hamburgers in such areas, this will lead to the winding up of my business. Another instance, there are areas where non-vegetarian is banned in such areas if I try to sell non-vegetarian foods, then it will end up my business in that area. Henceforth, culture plays a vital role in the sustainability of business. Does the type of product and support services have a connection? Yes, to some extent, it has a connection. Now say I have an electronics business, my refrigerator sold is having issues after six months of usage, and my after-sales service, after several attempts, fails to solve the issue. Here, it will negatively affect my business. Regarding management strategies, yes, sales always happen with a marketing technique, and strategies are involved.
