e ] Description of testing accommodations for ELLs Some testing accommodation for ELLs can be to extent time for completion of test (NYSED, 2023). Other means of testing accommodation will include supporting the language with phrases and words. Alignment of the assessments to ELP and content standards Aligning both the English Language Proficiency (ELP) standards and content standards are very important for by doing so will allow for assessments measure language proficiency and their understanding of content areas that are being taught in the classroom (CRESST, 2010). Data from assessments will be used to inform instructional decisions Data from assessments will be used to differentiate instruction the means of setting goals. Assessments will used to plan and guide curriculum. Interventions can be accomplished using assessments determining what area the student is weak in.
