In module 2 you learned about the different types of law in Canada. One of the important areas of law for business professionals to know about is administrative law. In this assignment you will practice reading, analyzing and applying administrative law (human rights / employment statutes) to a business scenario. Read chapters 1 & 2 of your textbook;
Read the scenario and questions below;
Read the two Manitoba Human Rights Commission decisions;
Read the Blatz v. 4L Case Summary; and
Answer the questions below. Additional Information
You do not need to complete additional legal research. Focus on using the course materials listed under “Instructions”.

Administrative Law Business Scenario and Questions
You are an H/R manager for House Stark, a custom home construction company
operating in Winnipeg. Meredith Grey is an employee of House Stark. Her title is, “finishing technician”. Her primary functions are mouldings, painting, wall treatments, and house sidings necessary to complete a custom home. Ms. Grey was hired three weeks ago. Her training went well, and according to the weekly performance reports completed by her manager, her performance has been strong. She has just informed you that she is 3-months pregnant and cannot work with chemicals, and asked that she work in office administration. Questions
