Once graded the mark will be scaled to a mark out of 5 for your final Lab 4 mark. The enable password for each device in the Packettracer file is “cisco”. Tasks: Using the “Lab 4 (Troubleshooting).pkt” Packettracer lab file your task is to simply fix the issues outlined in the list under the Task heading below. Some of the issues will rely on others to be fixed first so you will need to proceed carefully with thought using a solid troubleshooting methodology. Think about how networks work from Layer 1 Layer 7 and proceed on that basis. The following base information is provided to you for reference. All of this information represents the network when in perfect working order. Network Diagram Router 1 Interfaces

Other Useful Information Enable password on all devices: cisco VTP Domain: Lab4 VTP Version: 2 VTP Password: cisco Tasks You must solve all of the following issues. Marks for each troubleshooting task are as noted. 1. When new VLANs are created on Switch0 they are not appearing on Switches 2 or 3 as expected. (2 Marks) 2. Traffic from the 192.168.1.0 subnet does not transit correctly between Switch0 and Switch2 (2 Marks) 3. Management access to Switch1 has stopped working from WAN Cloud 0. (1 Mark) 4. Routes between the 172.16.0.0/16 and 172.17.0.0/16 networks do not always follow the correct path through the 192.168.1.0/29 subnet. (5 Marks). 5. Until recently when both the 192.168.1.0/29 and 192.168.2.0/29 subnets were down traffic from the 172.16.0.0/16 network was still able to reach the 172.17.0.0/16 network through Router2. This is now broken but the configuration on Router2 is confirmed as being correct. (5 Marks). 6. Recently extra redundant links have been placed between switch pairs Switch0:Switch3 and Switch1:Switch2 by a junior engineer but the trunking between these switch pairs does not currently work. (5 Marks). 7. Ensure that all inter-switch and inter-router interfaces are statically configured for best performance and that connected interfaces have descriptions that allow support staff to easily identify connected devices correctly. (5 Marks). You MUST submit your saved Lab 4 file for marking.
