SDLC Process The waterfall method of software development is highly progressive and can be divided into distinct stages. Though unclear to many programmers, the phases are ordered in such a way that the first phase must be completed before moving on to the next. That's because it's impossible to move on to step two before step one is finished running. Agile, on the other hand, is an iterative method of project management and software development that aids the selected team in providing better services to the client faster and with less effort. Since the team is constantly assessing the effectiveness of its goals, requirements, and outcomes, it can adapt swiftly to new circumstances. Because of its greater adaptability, Agile has quickly become the preferred methodology for a wide range of businesses. Software with the benefits of scalability, regulatory compliance, agility, and accessibility can be built incrementally using agile approaches. Waterfall projects are always finished in a linear fashion, while agile projects are performed in a series of iterations (Kisielnicki, 2017). Agile scrum approach, lean software development, Kanban, extreme programming, and dynamic system development are just a few examples of the various agile methodologies available for usage in each department's project. I'm going to recommend that the department's CIO employ robust software development techniques. this is due to its superiority over competing approaches; for example, it reduces expenses, labor, and waste (Henry, 2019). Lean software development is an approach to software development that is based on a set of principles that aim to reduce programming time and costs while simultaneously increasing knowledge, accelerating delivery, and postponing commitment. The IT department will benefit from lean software development because it will get to take advantage of all the advantages it can get. One of these advantages is the elimination of waste, which will help the department save money by reducing things like redundant communication
SDLC Process and data entry. The second advantage is the expansion of the company's knowledge, which will allow it to provide higher-quality services in the future. The software's adaptability means that all deliveries may be completed in a relatively short amount of time, which is still another benefit. Customer morale is also likely to rise as a result of the lean favor method, since managers will be better able to keep their staff updated on what they're working on and give them a greater say in the matter. The company's interactions with customers will finally improve. Because providing the best service possible is central to the lean software development philosophy, these are necessary (Henry, 2019). Because healthcare is such a delicate industry because it deals with people's lives, there are a number of concerns that must be addressed before the industry can make the switch from waterfall to agile software development. Many lives can be lost and resources wasted due to hasty, uninformed decisions. The organization will be better prepared to deal with the obstacles it is expected to face during the transition if it addresses the concerns now. Managers in the healthcare sector need to solve the following issues before they can plot a course forward (Dixit, 2019): (1) staff members' inability to adapt to the change due to ignorance about its impending arrival. The second issue that needs a lot of stress is a lack of dedication. This question is best directed at upper management, as it is through their example that subordinate employees can learn their duties. Last but not least, the administrator might struggle with correct execution, which would lead to failure if not addressed, but doing so would help them implement something that is recommended. The vast majority of people are clueless about the ethical implications of these methods. Second, in order to have a successful project, the managers and owners must agree on how they want the project to be carried out. However, the split between the two groups can result in a subpar conclusion. This is often constructed of fixed necessities and deliverables, and it involves suppliers from outside sources and offshore workers. Lack of communication between the development community and the business will have undermined the purpose of agile, which is to foster a culture of trust among all individuals, meaning that collaboration through contract diplomacy cannot generate value in the athletic background. Lack of leadership and stakeholder support, as
SDLC Process well as the use of supremacy justifications, are all things to be avoided in an Agile project (Kisielnicki, 2017). The following is a plan for carrying out the aforementioned changes; the organization's stated objective was to transition from more antiquated practices like waterfall to more cutting-edge ones like Agile and its methodologies. In order to reap the benefits of the project, it needed to be completed as quickly as feasible. The company's CEO was tasked with coordinating the distribution of resources. At the end of the day, it was the manager's job to keep everyone on track and working toward the project's goals.
