UNIT 3 INDIVIDUAL PROJECT Section 1 Project Charter : Wireless Communications System Deployment Project Description: This project's goal is to implement a wireless communications system that gives field- based project managers remote text access to crucial business resources. Our field operations will be more productive, communication will be improved, and project management will be streamlined thanks to this technology (Roseke, 2019). Project Objectives: Make firm resources accessible via text message from a distance. Encourage better teamwork and communication among project managers on the ground. Make field operations more efficient. Assure the wireless communications system's dependability and security. Project Scope: Setting up a safe framework for wireless communication. The creation and deployment of a text-access mobile application. Providing project managers with system usage training and onboarding. Risk Management: 2
UNIT 3 INDIVIDUAL PROJECT There are always risks involved in a project, including this project. Some of those risks are as follows: denial of service (DoS) unauthorized authentication hijacking spoofing main in the middle (MitM) Time Management Project Milestone: All vendors have been identified and selected. The deployment process has been financially computed. All the supplies needed have arrived at the company’s location. Cost management Summary Budget: A large sum amount of money has been set aside to aid in the completion of the project. 3

UNIT 3 INDIVIDUAL PROJECT Stakeholder Management The stakeholders in the project are: Project Sponsor – Mrs. Stephanie Johnson VP Communications Management – Mr. David Wilson Authority: Project Approval Requirements: Project has a 5-month deadline. The project must avoid any disruptions to the company’s business operations. Must go by all the federal, state, and local regulations. There should always be supervision throughout the whole project to make sure it’s being done properly. Approval Signatures: Project Manager: Mr. Anthony Martinez Project Sponsor and Authorizer: Mrs. Stephanie Johnson Section 2 4
UNIT 3 INDIVIDUAL PROJECT Project Plan - Outline and Importance of Standard Elements The project plans are related to several elements. In a standard project plan, there are ten elements. The project's goal is the first element. This step includes comprehending the specifics of what the project should be about and learning about what is currently being produced. This indicates that the project's justifications and anticipated benefits are both thoroughly explained in this project (Roseke, 2019). The outputs make up the second element. In this instance, the wireless communication system is the output that enhances access to business resources. Based on the need for production, these are the anticipated outcomes at the conclusion of the project (Roseke, 2019). The third element of the project plan is the quality criteria. This outlines the caliber of the project's anticipated outputs. The ability of the outputs to be timely, relevant, quantifiable, precise, and time-based characterizes their quality. These are the supplies and requirements that must be satisfied to achieve the desired results and quality (Roseke, 2019). Resources are the fourth element. These are the materials and needs that must be met to attain the defined quality as well as the outputs. Management structure is the fifth element. This step requires defining the parties involved in the project management as it develops. The project manager, sponsor, and executive are all included in this. The sixth element is the project's 5
UNIT 3 INDIVIDUAL PROJECT milestones. Among the individual activities are the provision of supplies and the creation of contracts (Roseke, 2019). The seventh element is tolerances, which involves defining the project's maximum allowable deviation in terms of quality and resource targets before raising an alarm. In this instance, tolerances include using a wireless communication system that is inflexible and unbending (Roseke, 2019). The eighth element, dependencies, specify how the project should proceed from one stage to the next, both internally and externally. The ninth element, risks, should be clearly defined considering the project's uniqueness. The last element is the scheduling. The project must be scheduled so that all the necessary activities take place during the project (Roseke, 2019). While the relative importance of these elements can differ between projects, several of them are emphasized as being essential for the project of deploying a wireless communications system (Zwikael, 2009). These include the scope statement, which establishes the parameters of the project; the schedule, which maintains timeliness; the resource plan, which plans the efficient use of resources. Also, the quality plan, which guarantees system dependability; the risk management plan, which addresses possible risks related to technology and security; the communication plan, which keeps stakeholders informed; and the stakeholder management plan, which controls expectations and wins support (Zwikael, 2009). 6

UNIT 3 INDIVIDUAL PROJECT To conclude, I would like to give some advice to the company for the wireless communications system deployment project. Always make sure the project scope is stated clearly and every single stakeholder agrees with the project scope. Create an accurate budget and timeline for the project and acquire the needed equipment and software in the right time frame. Install the wireless communications system correctly using the manufacturer’s directions, then test it making sure it’s working properly. Make sure everyone at the company knows how to use the wireless communications system, train if needed. Lastly, deploy the wireless communications system without any disruptions to the company’s business operations. If everyone follows my advice, then the company should have a successful wireless communications system deployment project. 7
