UNIT 4 INDIVIDUAL PROJECT
Businesses nowadays are more concerned with the wants and needs of their customers
than ever before.
Software development frameworks have been introduced to help
companies organize their customer-facing projects to meet these expectations.
By assisting
organizations in managing their projects effectively, these frameworks enable them to
accomplish their goals within the allocated time and financial constraints.
We will talk about
software development frameworks in this research assignment, and we will also create a
communication plan and risk management plan for a software development project.
A collection of rules or procedures called software development frameworks is used to
organize, schedule, and manage the software development process (Tran, 2022).
These
frameworks offer a methodical way to create software that can satisfy the needs and
expectations of the user.
There are numerous frameworks for software development
available including as follows: waterfall model, agile framework, and DeVos framework.
The waterfall model is a conventional framework for software development that works in
steps, requiring each step to be finished before going on to the next.
Requirement analysis,
design, development, testing, and implementation are among the phases (Tran, 2022).
The
Agile framework is a versatile methodology for software development that prioritizes
customer satisfaction, ongoing collaboration, and continuous improvement.
It entails

iterative development, in which cross-functional teams work together to evolve requirements
and solutions (Tran, 2022).
In order to reduce the system development life cycle and enable
continuous delivery of high-quality software, a set of practices known as DevOps combines
software development and IT operations (Tran, 2022).
Communication Plan:
A communication plan is an essential component of any project, and it is necessary to
ensure that all stakeholders are informed about the project's progress.
The communication
plan should include the following elements (Martins, 2022).
Stakeholder Identification: Finding out who the project's stakeholders are is the first
step in developing a communication strategy.
Customers, sponsors, members of the
project team, and other stakeholders are included in this (Martins, 2022).
Communication Channels: Choosing the communication channels that will be used to
inform the stakeholders is the next step.
Email, meetings, conference calls, and
project management software are a few examples of the channels (Martins, 2022).

Communication Frequency: Establishing the communication frequency that will be
used throughout the project is crucial.
This could be done on a daily, weekly, or
monthly basis, based on the size and complexity of the project (Martins, 2022).
Communication Content: Project updates, project risks, reached milestones, and any
potential problems should all be included in the communication content (Martins,
2022).
Risk Management Plan:
To make sure that any risks to the project are found, evaluated, and reduced, a risk
management plan is necessary.
The following components ought to be part of the risk
management strategy (Eby, 2023).
Risk Identification: Finding every risk to the project is the first step in developing a
risk management strategy.
Risks pertaining to the project's scope, budget, schedule,
or technology may fall under this category.
Risk Assessment: The next stage is to evaluate each risk's likelihood and severity after
it has been identified.
This will assist in setting the risks' priorities and choosing the
best course of action.

Risk Response: A strategy to reduce or eliminate the risk should be part of the risk
response.
This can entail altering the project's budget, schedule, or scope.
Risk Monitoring: To make sure that the risk response is successful, it is crucial to
keep an eye on the risks throughout the course of the project.
A monitoring and
corrective action plan should be part of the risk management strategy.
To sum up, software development frameworks are a vital management tool for projects
involving clients.
Any project needs to have a communication plan and a risk management
plan, and both need to be given enough consideration.
Identification of stakeholders,
communication channels, frequency, and content should all be included in the
communication plan.
Risk assessment, monitoring, reaction, and identification should all be
part of the risk management strategy.
