Your Answer:
What is "validate scope" and why is it important to the project?
Validate scope means to officially accept the completed deliverables from
the project. this helps in verifying each deliverable as per the regulations
and quality requirements. This marks formally completing the project
execution and stepping into the project closure.
This improves the unbiasedness of the project and ensures that
everything is as per the standards and requirements of the clients. Project
scope is an important stage within the planning stage in determining and
documenting the specific goals, budget, milestones, deadlines,
acceptance criteria, etc. A change in the deliverables can impact the
overall project which leads to discrepancies in the budget and costs.
A scope clearly states what should and shouldn't be included in the
project to avoid scope creep, this is to avoid the misuse of resources and
time. scope creep may lead to delay in the project completion which might
have drastic effects on company and project team reputation.
This also helps to verify all the aspects of the project and verify the
completion in each stage. Any aspects that were missed were listed and
steps are taken to ensure completeness prior to project completion.
