That can be a difficult task when a ransomware attack is spreading through an organization’s computer systems and network, or a tornado is
bearing down on a critical data center, and you don’t know how to respond appropriately.

At the same time, ethics play a vital role in guiding decision-making during a disaster. Ethical considerations ensure that actions taken prioritize the well-being of individuals, both within and outside the organization. It helps in balancing the immediate needs of the situation with the long-term consequences and potential harm to stakeholders. Ethical decision-making promotes transparency, accountability, and integrity, which are essential in building trust and maintaining the organization's reputation.
