COMPARE AND CONTRAST NETFLIX AND AMAZON PRIME VIDEO
Currently, lifestyle continues to change with the increase in technological advancement. Online TV streaming has taken over from cable TV. However, with various streaming services in
online TV business such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon prime video, Now TV, just to mention a few, the challenge remains choosing the right option that meets clientele needs. This paper aims to compare and contrast Netflix TV and Amazon Prime Video TV based on selection, price, and easiness to stream.
One main comparison existing between the two is that they both offer a selection of wide TV footage one can ever hope to enjoy in a lifetime. According to Farrington (2017), Netflix recorded a total of over 4000 movies and approximately 2800 TV shows. Conversely, Amazon Prime TV recorded astonishingly 36,000 movies and over 6000 TV shows. Inclusively, Amazon TV leads in the availability of selection, but Netflix selects contents that are much better for instance, more recent collections.
Pricing is a vital factor in Online TV preference among the customers. Based on pricing, Amazon prime TV is the most preferred since it offers cheap subscription services in comparison
to Netflix. For instance, it would cost a college student just $49 in a year when he/she has a valid
.edu portal address to subscribe to an Amazon Prime TV while other people would need $99. Contrariwise, Netflix charges varying prices of $7.99 per month for one screen, $10.99 for two and $13.99/month for three screens (Farrington, 2017). Lastly, easiness to stream between Amazon and Netflix TV depends on devices used to stream. New devices such as Smart TVs or Roku stream any service easily without any problem (Farrington, 2017). However, when using older devices, Amazon Prime TV experiences hitches. Netflix signals, on the other hand, works smoothly even in older gadgets.

Bottom line, Both Amazon Prime Video and Netflix offer distinct features in online video
streaming preferred by customers basing on different thoughts. In my opinion, Amazon Prime Video wins out for me since it offers a variety of programs while saving the need for a Netflix monthly membership. However, for an entertaining experience, Netflix dominates the industry at
least for now thus more people would go for it if they are in a better position to pay for the services.
