Report
Employee performance assessment is a valuable tool and an important component of corporate functions. Evaluations are used by managers to identify any areas in which an employee needs improvement in order to achieve corporate goals. Areas of improvement could be communication skills, teamwork, and reporting time to work. Managers can help account executives learn and adopt new behaviors that encourage them. (Sharma, 2020) Paychex is a major national payroll, benefits and human resources company. It has over 1,000 offices serving many clients nationwide. The executives in the account make individual sales calls without being noticed by the managers. They are responsible for training executives for new accounts and sales of products to customers. (Paychex, 2018) Managers do not monitor and evaluate account executives because sales calls are made independently by account executives. It is important to see how each account manager performs his or her duties. For managers, continuous performance records need to be maintained for each employee. Past performance appraisals can help managers obtain performance information through behaviors and analyze the most performing employees than non-active employees. Also, managers have sales responsibilities in their markets and are familiar with payroll laws and regulations. Accounts executives are expected to identify potential customers and be aware of retail industry issues by attending retail trade fairs and professional meetings. Both approaches would be more appropriate. Behavioral approach is reliable because there is no clear link between sales results and the performance of account executives. (Dougherty, 2020)
The company has 1,000 customer service offices nationwide. Every office manager should organize conformity assessments for all employees on a regular basis to obtain information. (Paychex, 2018) The results approach is used as soon as the company is made aware of the results of the sale and customer satisfaction and here, employees have the cascades and colleges to run the business efficiently and deliver the results of the sale. Hard work will promote good recovery therefore, the behavior of the account executive is linked to productive results. Consistent results over time are attributed to continuous build-up and matched results are closely related to individual compensation and company development. Managers should focus on the behavior of account executives and not just on the results. Therefore, the use of both approaches would be beneficial and more appropriate. (Sharma, 2020) The job description for account executives should include the following: job description Conduct a lean needs analysis to meet customer requirements and expectations Identification of clients on the host processing system Complete customer information documents Scheduling, making and receiving orders Customer Support Keep up with major market and software changes. It would have been more appropriate to incorporate Paychex for good behavior services, good results. Depends on sales successes and customer satisfaction. (Dougherty, 2020)
