Summary and Important Information
This article sought to identify the effectiveness of video models to help teach employees how to use discrete trials as a form of instruction with clients. In the study, three new employees were taught using these video models. The data collection procedure included recorded an accuracy percentage for completing an instructional session using the discrete trial method taught
in the video models. The baseline data yielded some unsuccessful percentages, ranging from 12-
63 percent accuracy. The video modeling was shown to increase the accuracy percentage to 85% or higher. It was also shown that this skill was maintained well when taught with video modeling. Questions
Can this form of teaching be used for other methods as well?
How effective would this intervention be for larger groups of employees and not just 3?
