According to Al-Kasasbeh et al. (2020), a WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) is a hierarchical breakdown of the project scope into more manageable, smaller, and focused work items. It is a graphic depiction of all the deliverables, jobs, and actions needed to finish a project. With each level or branch of the WBS, the project is broken down into further depth and the goals, specifications, and deliverables are made explicit. In project management, a WBS is crucial for a number of reasons. First and foremost, it gives the project team direction and clarity for all of the actions involved in the project. The team may better grasp the project's scope and make sure that all required activities are completed by segmenting the job into smaller parts. Because each work item may be allocated to a single team member with a set schedule, this also aids in resource allocation and scheduling. Furthermore, by outlining all the resources and labor needed for every work item, a WBS aids in precise cost estimation (Ilmi et al., 2020). Additionally, because possible hazards may be recognized and foreseen at every stage of the work breakdown structure (WBS), proactive risk mitigation techniques can be used. A work breakdown structure (WBS) can be a useful tool in daily life when organizing events like parties, movies, and vacations. When organizing a trip, for instance, the primary deliverables or goals might be determined, including the location, lodging, mode of transportation, and activities. Then, these primary deliverables might be divided into more specific sub-deliverables, such making hotel reservations, scheduling tourist excursions, and booking flights. This will assist in efficiently planning and arranging the trip, guaranteeing that every detail is taken into account. In a similar vein, the WBS may assist in determining the essential elements of a party planning, including the guest list, location, menu, and entertainment. To make sure that all the preparations are done, each of them may subsequently be divided into even smaller jobs. In addition to saving time and effort, developing a work breakdown structure (WBS) for routine tasks helps guarantee effective and well- managed results.
