For instance, in a company, logistics is the use of the most effective delivery routes and warehousing space. However, supply chain management involves sourcing supplies, manufacturing, forecasting sales, and strategically overseeing these tasks. While logistics handles distribution, supply chain management organizes cross-functional procedures to ensure smooth operations. Logistics is the strategic transportation and storage of goods throughout the supply chain. Supply chain management provides a wider strategic approach to connecting supply chain operations and partners to produce value.
