Case Study (Option 1) - “Chipageddon”: What the Global Chip Drought Means for
Manufacturing and Supply Chains
Please read all instructions before beginning this assignment.
In this assignment, you will read a case study, complete external research, and
address the following questions/requirements in your submission.
1.
What are the causes of the chip shortage?
2.
Describe the current conditions as of Fall 2022 for the car industry in regards to the chip
crisis; who is affected and why?
3.
Complete an ad-hoc survey of five friends/colleagues/family to see if they have been
impacted by the shortage. In general, not just car related. Report the details of your study,
including the demographics of respondents.
4.
