A.
Discuss the causes and results (i.e., cultural, political, and/or economic) of
one
of the
following revolutions (
suggested length of 2–3 paragraphs
):
From 1776 to 1781 was the time of the American Revolution. There were many things
that happened that lead to the American Revolution. The British set up the Currency Act that
limited the thirteen colonies from developing their own money. Tensions started to drastically
rise between the Great Britain and the thirteen colonies. With the thirteen colonies already in
debt to Great Britain, having the shortage of currency made the situation worse.
The Boston Tea Party was probably the most famous influence to the cause of the
American Revolution. In 1773 the Boston Tea Party was more of a political protest that
involved throwing tons of tea into the Boston Harbor. As result and punishment Great Britain
implemented The Coercive Act to the thirteen colonies.
Following the American Revolution Great Britain gave up their territory to the new
United States of America. At the end of the American Revolution the United States wrote the
Constitution in 1787 which amended the Articles of Confederation. The Constitution became
the nation’s political structure which helped form the three branches of government.

B.
Explain the development of
one
of the following ideologies in relation to associated
historical events (
suggested length of 2–3 paragraphs
):
A political and social ideology that encourages free enterprise, civil liberties, and
individual rights is Liberalism. Liberalism is a definitive way to describe historical
American events like the Declaration of Independence, which stated “all men are created
equal”. The Declaration of Independence was a statement for what they were fighting for
which was liberty and freedom from British rule.
Another representation of liberalism is the Declaration of the Rights of the Man
and the Citizen of France. (Acrobatiq.)
C.
Explain
three
consequences (e.g., social, cultural, economic, technological) of
industrialization in the 19th and 20th centuries (
suggested length of 2–3 paragraphs
).
Many consequences came from the nineteenth and twentieth century that include
technological, economic, environmental, social, and cultural. A major environmental
consequence are coal factories. Coal factories were seen as a huge advancement in
economic growth, but the large amount smoke was polluting the air.
Another consequence was the industrialization of capitalism. Capitalism was a huge step
in global trade and production and changed how everyone lived their life. Unfortunately, the
labor from capitalism became a huge issue. While the factory owners became super rich the
lower-level man worked long hours and received low pay. Working such long hours and in
poor conditions people became very unhealthy.
Health effects were a major industrialization consequence on the communities. The
pollution that came from the factories were a huge problem for the people that lived near the
factories. The factories exposed so many people to poison and radiation. Unfortunately, a
large amount of people died from the toxins that came from the factories and power plants.

D.
Discuss the causes and results (i.e., cultural, political, and/or economic) of
one
of the
following conflicts (
suggested length of 2–3 paragraphs
):
The Cold War was more of a display of power and not an actual battle of fighting that
was between the United States and the Soviet Union. The United States and the Soviet
Union had different ideas on how the world should be run, with either democracy or
communism. The United States believed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights,
while the Soviet Union violated human rights by letting the police to do whatever they want.
The Soviet Union police tortured, beat, and sometimes killed people in their custody.
Tensions rose as nuclear weapons were being developed and the potential threat of them
being used.
(Acrobatiq.)
The fear of communism was spreading across the United States and was putting the
people in a panic. With some people being accused of being communist they were arrested
and jailed; this was called the Red Scare. With the fear of more and more people turning to
communism, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization was created (NATO). NATO was a
treaty that was to secure freedom and protection to any and all members that were in it. With
NATO being formed the Soviet Union decided to create their own organization, the Warsaw
Pact. This organization put all the power of the military to the Soviet Union. With the
nations creating their own nuclear weapons it created mass scare and a threat to possible
peace. Both sides had the power to cause serious damage to the other but reframed from
being the first one to do it because it would lead to mass destruction. Instead, this led to
proxy wars which were fights for independence and they took place in Korea and Vietnam.
(Acrobatiq.)
As the Soviet Union crumbled and fell apart the Cold War also came to an end. While
the Soviet Union was breaking apart the Berlin Wall came down along with the Iron Curtain
and the threat of communism spreading.
