Section III: Essay (40 points). Instructions: Including as much relevant detail as possible, please compose an essay of at least 400 words in length which fully addresses and answers all parts of the essay question asked below (found below the instructions .( * Essays should by typed directly onto the exam, below where the question appears. They may not be composed in a separate document; they must be typed into the Exam document . * Essays will be graded on factual accuracy, the level of relevant detail provided, the organization of the essay, and grammar/spelling. Essays which do not fully address the question which has been asked will receive a grade of zero . * Please note that all answers to Essay questions must be derived from the required course materials (i.e. the lectures and the required textbook). All names, events, terms, etc. must be spelled correctly as they are spelled in the lecture outlines and the in course textbook. For each instance of paraphrasing , the student must indicate the source (textbook) and the page or page numbers in which that particular material was found. Students may not copy verbatim (i.e. word for word) from the textbook at all ; they may only paraphrase the material. Direct copying constitutes plagiarism . 3 . Students may NOT use internet sources on the test. Students may NOT use paraphrasing software/programs on the test. Students may NOT utilize AI programs such as ChatGPT on the test. Students may NOT utilize another student’s notes or exam answers on the test . Doing any of these will result in a zero. Please note that Alabama State University subscribes to Turnitin, a plagiarism detection service, which is utilized via Canvas.
