Report
Christianity in the Middle Ages exerted comprehensive control over Europe, especially in terms of thought. Even the Christian Bible at that time could only be written in Latin and no other languages were allowed. Therefore, the Middle Ages are also called the Dark Ages. Excessive religious power was in serious conflict with the power of the king, the nobility, and later the emerging capitalists. Because of this, some people in Europe have always been opposed to religious rule. This was reflected in the Renaissance movement that began in the 14th century in Europe. The so-called Renaissance is to revive the "pre-Christian culture" of ancient Greece and Rome in order to oppose religious autocracy. Therefore, it was also from the Renaissance that Aristotle and other ancient Greek philosophers who did not believe in Christianity were put on the stage again. Many people began to search for evidence and clues to prove the comparison of civilizations in ancient Greece and Rome. European culture in the Middle Ages was more civilized, splendid and radiant.
