Flappers – 1920s • Young women of the 1920s who embraced a lifestyle that was once frowned upon by society. They pushed the sexual freedom of women.

Women’s Liberation Movement – 1960s – 1980s A collective of equality struggles for women. They sought to free women from the oppression and male supremacy. It was seen as the second-wave feminism or just women’s movement.

Roe v. Wade - 1973 Until this time abortions were illegal unless it was to save a woman’s life. In the famous United States Supreme Court case, Roe v. Wade, this law was overturned, and women could now have abortions on their own terms.
