o
Write a clear, relevant, and focused research question about your finalized Historical
Research topic.
o
What long lasting effects has the Chernobyl disaster had on the environment and people
over 20 years later
o
o
Explain how another person’s beliefs, assumptions, and values may lead that person to
create a different question than you.

o
I think that someone else’s beliefs, assumptions, and values will decide what type of
question they choose because it decides what is important to that person. If the
environment is important to me than I am going to question how Chernobyl has
impacted our Earth and environment. But if the environment is less important to
someone else and cancer is more important to them, they may question what cancers
people have gotten from Chernobyl. If someone else believed Chernobyl to be a huge
deal they may question their research differently than someone who thinks the disaster
is not a big deal to our society.
