Signs and Symptoms Type 2 diabetes symptoms often develop over several years and can go on for a long time without being noticed (sometimes there aren’t any noticeable symptoms at all). Type 2 diabetes usually starts when you’re an adult, though more and more children, teens , and young adults are developing it. Because symptoms are hard to spot, it’s important to know the risk factors for type 2 diabetes and visit your doctor if you have any of them . Importance of Treatment You may be able to manage your diabetes with self care including healthy eating, exercising, routine follow ups and or medication. Medications may include oral medication or insulin. Not all people with Diabetic 2 needs insulin. If so its important that you take insulin as directed to stop the risk of Diabetes 1 and other health issues such as organ failure.
