This article provides statistics about black maternal mortality and provides information on how policymakers and healthcare professionals can help improve black women’s maternal health rates. 2. This article describes the barriers to health care among people of color. It brought a new perspective and touched on racism and bias. 3. This article discusses the importance of midwives. It introduced a new perspective compared to the other articles. 4. This article provides ways to improve black maternal health outcomes including expansion of medicaid, addressing bias and racism, and supporting the Black Maternal Health Momnibus. 5. This article describes ways of improving black maternal health through medicaid expansion and doula care. 6. This article provides helpful graphs showing how high maternal mortality rates are in comparison to other racial groups. It also provides real stories from health care professionals who have realized their privileges and things that go wrong in their spaces. This article was similar to the previous article but expanded more on doula care. 5.
