Based on your assigned reading and online research, how can data visualization be used in
biostatistics? What is a technique used in data visualization?
Please post a response of at least 150 words to the topic. Your required follow-up replies should have

Good evening,
Data visualization is the exercise of translating data into a visual environment, such as a graph or
a map, to help make it easier to understand what the data is showing. Its main goal is to make it
easier to identify trends, patterns and outliers in large data sets. The main purpose of data
visualization in healthcare biostatistics is to help medical leadership, to interpret analytics
results faster, find trends and improve decisions. There are many ways that data visualization
can be used in biostatics. First it can be used in interactive dashboards that combined reports
and are the most common in the healthcare industry(Dunskiy, 2023). The three most common
of these types of dashboards are operational, strategic and analytical dashboards. It can also be
used to create infographic and motion graphics, which are used for helping to visualize more
complex data(Dunskiy, 2023). One technique I have found helpful in my journey as a healthcare
leader is the heat map. A heat map is a visitation technique that is a method of graphically
representing numerical data
of the value of every data point using colors. It is most common
that a warm-to-cool color scheme with warm colors representing high value points. I have used
heat maps, to look at were to build new locations. Finding areas of the mapped area that do not
have warm colors(similar offices) to look for potential locations to build my new offices.
