The healthcare industry is dependent on accurate coding and billing to process insurance claims. Healthcare organizations need insurance claim revenue in order to maintain financial stability and provide quality care. As a way to maximize insurance claim revenue and avoid financial losses, we will discuss the importance of accurate coding and billing in this paper.
Importance of accurate coding and billing
When the codes have been correctly assigned, insurance companies are more likely to approve and pay claims within a timely manner. An accurate coding and billing system allows healthcare organizations to receive reimbursement for services provided to patients, resulting in a
