Results Getting to Patients Plan was put in place effective immediately. All patients moving forward, if the provider ordered a mammogram, were placed on the mammogram result log. After 2 weeks on continuous data collection, we were able to obtain all information require to ensure patient satisfaction. All results, good and bad, were relayed to the patient. All steps for further treatment or action were taken.
Results wait time due to review and processing (1-2 weeks) Different handling for abnormal vs. normal results. Tracking orders improved result delivery speed.
Mammogram Order Tracking Log Success: Adoption: The log's effectiveness led to its implementation throughout the practice. Improved Efficiency: Tracking ensured each test moved smoothly, minimizing delays. Faster Results: Team members identified bottlenecks, speeding up result delivery. Patient Benefit: Patients received results sooner, improving their healthcare experience. No Financial Impact: Implementing the log was financially neutral.
