HCM 400 Milestone one Ariel Richardson 10/05/2023 There are a few things that are leading the change in healthcare today. These being digital access is changing the experience as well as the business aspect of the hospital, workplace needs and expectations are changing daily, financial changes, payer provider partnerships, and complex intersections of societal and health issues. Digital access is changing the healthcare system. Many patients and healthcare companies want the option to be able to access the healthcare system with the click of a button rather than having to call or go into the clinic to receive the information they want. Making these changes to smaller healthcare facilities can cause some issues but also brings them up to speed with the bigger hospitals and providers that are in the areas. Workplace needs and expectations are changing for the good. This change can give the healthcare employees the opportunity to speak up for the issues that are affecting their everyday work life and adapt their workplace environment for the better. When working for someone there are only going to be changes made if the higher ups in the company actually accept the criticism on the issues that lie within the workplace. Financial changes are also a change for the good because when there are changes to how much money a company is making it can cause the employees within that company to receive bonuses, raises, incentives and so much more. So if the higher ups of the company are changing things around and spending money on proper things like their employees it will cause those who work within the company to bring better work and skills to the table.
Payer provider partnerships are taking over the healthcare industry. Payers have become more aggressive with delivery services and payout whereas the providers issue the payouts also known as the “payviders”. Complex intersections of societal and health issues are an issue because there needs to be a better sense of coverage protection. Funding to address health inequities has exceeded $24 billion, including state, federal, private, and philanthropic dollars.
