Best Practices
Application of Knowledge (Rock Cycle):
This part of the test requires students to
demonstrate their understanding of the rock cycle by placing terms in the correct
sequence, encouraging application and synthesis of information.
I am not quite sure
what makes this a best practice as per Chapter 6 notes.
Multiple-Choice Questions:
The test offers options for selecting the correct answer
and each section is labeled.
Yes, labeled sections guide structure to the test.
Matching Words to Definitions:
The test assesses the understanding of key terms
related to map reading and geography.
Again,
I am not quite sure what makes this a
best practice as per Chapter 6 notes.
Use of Assessments provided by Textbooks and Test Publishers:
Used items
from the textbook to create my own assessment based on my students and that
matches my instruction.
This
is
indeed a best practice. It
is, however,
something that
I
cannot observe
.
True or False Questions-
True or False questions are effective for assessing basic
comprehension and recall of information.
Again, I am not quite sure what makes this a
best practice as per Chapter 6 notes
.
You make have some notions of
best practices when constructing tests…
they are not obvious to me in this
discussion. Much of what you included above cannot be observed.
I need to be as to see that you recognize best
practices when you see them in a test.
After a review, I don’t think I see 5 best practices in the test below.
