Evaluation of Writing Resources
I chose to use Grammarly as my writing resource for my rough draft of childhood obesity. I have never used Grammarly before and I wanted to be able to use it and become more familiar with it so I can use it more in the future. This tool has a free side, and it also has a premium side that you can pay for and get more out of it. I used the free side and when I seen the errors or corrections it had on my paper, I was very pleased to have a chance to correct these before I submitted the assignment. The suggestions for changes in sentences and/or grammar errors were very helpful. While I do not have the premium account on Grammarly I did see that in the premium account it does give you the ability to check your papers for plagiarism. The
only errors I noticed on my paper for my first time using it were sentencing errors and grammar errors. I am eager to keep using it so that I can see all the suggestions it can find
in future essays. I may even break down and pay for the premium to see if it is worth it, or if I can just stick to the free side. I do like that the premium side will rewrite sentences if needed (Grammarly, 2024). Overall, I really like Grammarly and will be continuing to use it.
